Zen Loyalty provides a powerful reporting mechanism to monitor and update your Loyalty customers. In this tutorial we will explore each of the available reports and outline the filtering and reporting options of each.

 

If the Loyalty Menu is not currently selected, navigate to the Loyalty Menu by clicking the Menus link followed by Customer, Services and Loyalty. Open the Loyalty Reports list by clicking on that menu item.

 

     

 

The Family Cards report outlines all of the cards that are linked together using the Family system. Cards of this type pool their Loyalty points into one and share the rewards of redeeming those points. In this way a married couple for example can collect points together regardless of which person actually makes a transaction. You can use the Family Cards report to see the master user that family cards have been linked to and how many members are in the family.

 

 

By clicking on the master card holder's name you can see the details of the linked cards in the Loyalty Family Card Members screen.

 

 

The Members report lists sales data for members grouped by referral type and club. Displayed data includes the points earned and redeemed, points balance and total sales to date. The default report is the Totals Only report, but you can also choose to view details of each member with a non-zero points balance, valid email address or mobile number, new cards only or for every member.

 

 

The Member Transactions report lists totals for each day of the week for each member with one or more sales transactions for each site in the company. You have the option of selecting sales data for a specific site or all sites. Enter the date and select the type of transaction that you are interested in - Sales for totals of all member sales in the Portal; Points for sales that earned or cost the member points only; Bonus for transactions that included a bonus in points for the member (either through a jackpot prize or special promotion); Transactions for the number of transactions in the Portal for each member; or Redemptions Only to view the total number of points that each member has redeemed each day. The Filters tab can be pressed to filter the report to include only the Top 5, Top 10, Top 15 and so on, or all members that the report relates to.

 

 

The Item Sales report lists sales data for each inventory item in the Portal by site. Displayed data includes the quantity and value sold and the number of points and bonus points earned. You have the option of reporting by site or consolidated for all sites in the company, and you can select the date range to report over. In the Range tab you can filter the report by location, select to display all items or only those on special, and choose to display the top grossing products or all items. Click on an Item Description to open the Inventory Management screen, allowing you to edit the details of the selected item.

 

 

The Department History report details historical sales data for each department by site and location. You have the option to select a site-specific or location-specific report or display all data for all sites and locations, and also to select the date range or period for the report. In the Filters screen you can choose the type of report that you want - Sales to display sales totals for each department; Sales % to view the percentage of all sales for each department; Quantity to view the quantities of items sold for each department; Quantity % to view the percentage of quantities sold in each department; $ / Unit to view the average price per item sold in each department; Points to view the points earned by department; Redeem to view the value of points redeemed for each department; Redeem Points to view the total number of points redeemed by department; Bonus to view the number of bonus points earned by department; Discount to view the value of discounts received by department. Click on a Department Name to open the Item Sales report, filtered by the selected Department.

 

 

The New Cards report can be used to view the number of new cards issued by site. You have the option of selecting a specific site or a consolidated report for all sites. Enter the date to report on and select to view data for the current week, current month, last eight weeks, current year or for the last two years. It is possible to apply special grouping to this report - either by referral type or employee signup.

 

 

The Card History report is similar to the Member Transactions report except that there is more choice in the type of report that you can display, and you also have the choice of period selection for this report. The type of report includes: Sales for totals of all card sales in the Portal; Sales % for the percentage of all transactions in the Portal that each card holder's transactions represents for the period; Points for sales that earned or cost the card holder points only; Redeem to view the value of points redeemed by each card holder; Redeem Points to view the total number of points that each card holder has redeemed; Bonus for transactions that included a bonus in points for the card holder (either through a jackpot prize or special promotion); Discount to view the value of discounts received by each card holder; Visits to report on card holders by number of visits during the period.

 

 

The Sales Statistics report is a versatile report that outlines various sales data in various formats. You have the option of selecting the period and date to report on, the location or a consolidated report for all locations in the company and to display the report as a table of data, a line graph, a pie chart or a bar graph. The types of report available to you include: Customer Counts which details the number of customers with sales in the Portal in each period; Customer $ Purchase to view the total value of all customer purchases in each period; Average Customer $ Purchase displays the average spend per customer; Loyalty Customer Counts, Loyalty $ Purchase or Average Loyalty $ Purchase are the same corresponding reports except that they are limited to Loyalty customers; % Loyalty (Counts) displays the percentage of customers that are Loyalty customers in the period; % Loyalty ($ Purchases) displays the percentage of sales totals that are Loyalty sales in the Portal for the period; Account Customer Counts, Account Purchases, Average Account $ Purchases, % Accounts (Count) or % Account ($ Purchase) are the same corresponding reports but are limited to debtor account customers.

 

 

The Card Statistics report is a powerful report that details information about your card holders by site. You have the option to report on a specific site or consolidate the report across all sites, select the period and date to report on and select the type of report from the following: Sales which displays sales data for each of your card holders; Points which details points movement for each card holder; Bonus which outlines the bonus points earned for each card holder; Redemptions which details the redemptions for the period; Visits which details the number of visits for each customer in the period; Postcode which details sales data by the postcode of card holders; Age which details sales data by age bracket; Age and Gender which describes the sales data according to your card holders' ages for male and female; Profession which details sales data by the occupation of card holders; Home Site which describes sales data according to where card holders were issued their card; Staff Member which outlines sales data according to the staff member that signed the card member up to the Loyalty system; % Spend which details the sales data by customer dollar spend per visit; Average $ Spend which details sales data by average dollar spend per transaction. The Range tab allows you to filter the report to the Top 5, Top 10, Top 15 customers and so on, or for all customers.

 

 

The Card - Filtered report is a multi-layered report that can be used to set up correspondences with members fulfilling certain criteria. The report itself outlines the number of customers, total points balance and value of points according to the criteria that you select from the five tabs in the report. The Options tab allows you to select the home site (site where the member joined) or consolidate across all sites, and also filter the report according to the correspondence type (SMS, Email, Mail or All). The Points tab allows you to filter the results of this report according to members' current points balance by selecting less than or greater than a specific balance. In the Selections tab, select a birth month, age range and gender to filter the results accordingly. You can also use the Names drop-down list to specify the letter that the surname of card holders needs to begin with to appear in the report results. This drop-down can also be used to report by state or postcode. The Filters tab can be used to filter the results according to filters set up in Zen Marketing for responses to surveys. The Groups tab allows you to limit the result set according to specific Loyalty groups. You can drill down into the result set by clicking on the result and selecting Display this selection. Sales data of each member in the set is displayed. It is also possible to download a csv version of the report in order to use the list for correspondence.

 

 

The Redemptions report details redemption transactions by site. You have the option of selecting the period and date to report on and also whether to display the data in tabular or graphical (Line, Pie or Bar Chart) form. The Filters tab allow you to select the type of report - value or volume of redemptions for each period.

 

 

The Movements report describes general Loyalty information by site. You can select to display data according to site or consolidated across all sites. Select the date to report on and whether to view data for the current week or last twelve months, or by weeks, months, quarters or years. There is also an option, Between Dates, that allows you to specify a start and end date to view movement data for. It is possible to report on data from customers' home site (where they became a member), away sites (other sites in the company) or a summary of all data. By selecting a date you can drill down into the details of the selected date to view the top performing card details. The Range tab in the drill-down report allows you to specify how many records will be shown. The CSV version of the drill-down report, accessible by selecting the Download link, contains each member's address details.

 

 

The Site Movements report outlines the points balances of each site in the company. You have the option of limiting the report to a single venue or consolidating the report across all sites. Enter the date range as required for the report. In addition you can modify the report by selecting the overall balance at the end date of the report or the points movement for the selected period.

 

 

The Ageing report outlines the total number and percentages of customers and points grouped by points balance ranges. You can use this report to view the customers with an outstanding points balance in a certain range by clicking on the range link.

 

 

The Warnings report can be used to view all transactions over a specified value for the week by site. This report can help identify problem transactions in the Portal. You have the option of selecting a specific venue to report on or consolidate the report across all sites. Select the minimum value for the transactions to report on and the date.

 

 

Each of these reports are powerful business analysis tools. Using them in your daily processes will help you to identify customers' spending habits and tailor your business to your customers' needs.
