Introduction to the Zen Portal |
The Zen Portal is a multi-venue, single database capture point incorporating customer rewards and redemptions to a total sales analysis. Sales can either be card-based (loyalty program) or total sales across the company, allowing marketers to conduct extensive basket analysis on customer spending habits and make informed marketing decisions. The Zen Portal can be configured to be a loyalty system, a total sales repository or both. However, Zen is more than just a loyalty tool. Its marketing capabilities include an automated SMS and email facility as well as a regular mail out option, a voucher creation tool and online marketing surveys.
The Portal can be accessed from a web browser via the address http://companyName.eposportal.com/Login.php?company=****
where companyName is the name
of your company and **** is the venue number as assigned by Zen Global.
For example, the Head Office of the company Bloggs Warehouse Supplies
might have the URL http://bloggswarehousesupplies.eposportal.com/Login.php?company=
A login screen like the one shown below will appear. Enter your Username and Password as provided to you by Zen Global.
After you login to the Portal, you will be taken to the Home screen. The side bar of the Portal contains a Navigation Menu that can be used to access the various Portal features. An example of the Navigation Menu is shown below.
At the top of the main section of the screen is a grey bar that contains some other useful links. The left side of the bar has a Hide Menu link that can be clicked to hide the Navigation Menu if desired. This link changes to Show Menu when the Navigation Menu has been hidden and clicking this link will return the Navigation Menu to the screen. Certain Reports screens also have links in this part of the screen - Print allows you to print the data in the report being displayed and Download saves a csv file of the data to disk that can be opened by a program such as Microsoft Excel. A Help link opens the help system that you are currently reading to an appropriate section for the Portal page you are on (this requires popup windows to be enabled in your browser's settings). The right side of the grey bar is a list of breadcrumb links to allow you to navigate back through the Portal, all the way to the Home site if necessary.
Some users may find it easier to use the Site Map to navigate around the Portal. This can be accessed by clicking on Menus followed by Site Map and Site Map again. The Site Map displays the entire Portal in a list of links of sites and their subsites. Both methods of navigating the Portal are acceptable so feel free to use whichever method suits your needs.
