Tutorial: Audit |
The Portal provides several reports to allow you to view the changes made to your inventory items. In this tutorial we will discuss the Audit reports available to you.
This tutorial deals with the Audit section of the Inventory Menu. Open the Inventory Menu by selecting Menus and Inventory from the Navigation Menu, then select the Audit section of the menu.
This section of the Inventory Menu contains five reports that can be viewed to detail changes to inventory items:
User Audit, reports on the Portal Users that have made changes to inventory items for the selected Site over the specified period. This report lists a count of the number of changes each User has made and by selecting a specific period the report can be drilled down into the Item Audit filtered by the selected User.
Item Audit, reports on all changes in inventory items for the specified Site over a selected period. This report can be filtered by the change type (Created, Edited, Deleted or All) and what was changed (Description, Cost Price, Retail Price or All). The information displayed in the report for each item includes the Site, Item Code, New Description, Old Description, New Cost Price, Old Cost Price, New Retail Price, Old Retail Price, Stock on Hand, the Date of the change, the Portal User that made the changes, the change type and a description of what was changed.
Single Item Audit, reports on a single item's changes at a specified Site for a selected period. Use the Find Item screen to select the item that you wish to audit. This report is very similar to the Item Audit except that it is filtered to report only on the single item selected in the Find Item screen.
Barcode Audit, allows you to track barcode changes for your inventory items at a selected Site during the specified period. You can select to view details of barcodes that have been created, deleted or both. Information in this report includes the Site, Barcode, Item Code, Item Description, Date of the change, the Portal User that affected the change and the change type.
Barcode (Item) Audit, allows you to filter the Barcode Audit report to a single item. Use the Find Item screen to select the item to report on and the Barcode Audit report is loaded, filtered by the selected item.
In this tutorial we have discussed the inventory auditing tools available to help track changes to items in the Portal.
