The Logs screen is used for diagnostic and debugging purposes and displays a trace of what is happening in the Portal, at each display and in the connection between them.

 

 

A drop-down list allows the user to view information on each screen in the venue and the checkbox below sets whether the trace information is enabled or not.

 

The radio buttons along the top of the trace window select the level of information displayed. The Error File displays information regarding errors in the Portal or the connection, and includes information such as the time and date of each error and a brief description of the error. The Log File logs important information occurring in the venue for each terminal. The information is general and technical in nature. The Trace File lists detailed information about the Portal, venue displays and the connection between them and is used to determine and fix glitches. The Close File displays general information regarding the venue displays and when the connection to the Portal is closed.

 

The trace window displays information according to the options selected above. This window can be updated manually by pressing the Refresh button.
